Scattered along the east wall of the new garden near Pakhlavan Mahmoud is a series of minor madrassahs. They include the Khojash Mahram Madrassah (1839) which is now a wood carvers workshop. Apprentices are taught under the watchful eye of the 'usta' or master and ply their trade to visiting tourists. The madrassah faces onto a shaded aywan behind the Pakhlavan Mahmoud Mausoleum and is a perfect spot for rest and repose. Next to it is the Yanus Khan Mausoleum - one of the many clustered around the Pakhlavan Mahmoud Complex.
